Quick & Easy Cake Pops

For this recipe you will need the following:
-1 box of cake mix and required ingredients on the box.
-1 package of frosting
-BBQ skewers or Lollipop sticks
-Candy melts or meltable chocolate



Bake the cake according to the recipe on the package. Use half the oil you normally would use.


Once the cake has cooled, destroy it. Grind it up in a food processor, removing any hard crusty pieces first.


Add a little frosting to the crumb mix, and work with your hands until it becomes clay like in cosistancy.


Roll cake mixture into small balls about 1.25″ wide.


Place cake balls onto a parchment lined baking sheet or plate, then chill them.


Microwave the chocolate or candy melts on low power for 30-seconds. Stir, and heat again. Careful not to burn the candy, keeps adding heat and mixing until completely melted.


Dip a lollipop stick into the melted coating and then into a ball of cake, push until the stick is half way through the ball. Turn your cake pop right side up, set on your styrofoam block or cake pop stand.


Chill cake pops in the fridge.


Dip each chilled cake pop straight down into the melted coating until cake ball is completely covered. Remove cake pop from the melted coating by pulling it up. Turn the cake pop at an angle and gently tap off any excess coating. Turn the cake pop upright.


Set your cake pops in your styrofoam block or cake pop stand until hardened. decorate your cake pops while still wet!
