Perfect Caprese Garlic Bread

Garlic bread is a fan favorite in my home, but I find it’s a little too unhealthy to keep in my regular side dish rotation. Playing around a bit, I found this garlic bread recipe to be just as satisfying, with a bit more nutritional content to boot.

You’ll Need:

1 loaf ciabatta bread, horizontally cut in half
4 tablespoons salted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
12 oz. fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
2 medium tomatoes, sliced
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1/3 cup chopped fresh basil


1) Cut the cheese and tomatoes into slices. Mince the garlic

2) Using room temperature butter, mix with minced garlic

3) Butter the bread. Next, layer the cheese. Next, top with tomatos, basil, and pepper.

4) Pour over light drizzles of balsamic vinegar and bake at 350 for about 10 minutes until cheese is melting and turns a golden brown.
